Just a little bit about who I am. I live outside of Atlanta, Georgia with my husband of one year, Chris, and our lab mix rescue, Emmy. I am a graduate of the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and got my Masters degree from Duke University (Go Blue Devils!). I am currently the Associate Minister at First United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. I love my job as it combines the things I love: sharing the love of God with children and adults in both my church and in the community.
I have always been active, growing up as a dancer from elementary through high school. Despite the hours spent in the studio, I still struggled with my weight, having to be very conscious of what I ate. It was a struggle especially considering both my sisters were always thin and could eat whatever they wanted. Although I was never overweight, I was never truly comfortable in my body.
In college, as a result of no dance and 24 hour dining halls, I tipped the scales at 165. That is not much for most people, but on my 5'2" frame, it was a lot. Near the end of college, my roommate and I started incorporated more activity into our routine by walking/running around town and going to the fitness center.
Then, in graduate school, after watching the infomercial countless times, I purchased Turbo Jam. It was just enough dancing to help satisfy the loss I felt without regular classes combined with cardio and strength training to keep me in shape. I lost ten pounds in my first round with Turbo Jam and maintained that weight for the next three years.
Last summer, as I was getting ready for my wedding, I ordered Chalean Extreme to help me get in shape for my wedding dress and my Hawaiian honeymoon. Using that program, I not only lost 10 more pounds, but I was the most toned I have every been.
This summer, I began using the new Turbo Fire program and am loving it! I made a commitment to change things in my life and to live life "wholy" - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Being a Beachbody coach has reinforced this commitment, as it truly is about reaching out to the whole person to change their life for the better, not just their body and/or fitness level.
I would love to connect with you as we are all on this journey together! Social media is a great way to meet new people, and I would love to meet you!
